Madonna vs Nirvana – Music – Smells Like Teen Spirit – by Andrew Cane

4 09 2010

Music Mania!
This is a mash up containing the vocal melodies of Madonna’s “Music” and the basic arrangement ideas of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.

The drums are programmed exactly after some Live version by Nirvana and
the guitars are played in the style of the original “Smells Like Teen Spirit” version of the studio recording. Except for the lead guitar melody in the outro, which was taken from Madonna’s song “Music”.

The bridge is pretty much as it is in Madonna’s original version.

This version was recorded in the year 2000 and I sang and played all instruments by myself for demo reasons.
Hidden on a hard disk in my storage for 10 years, I decided that the world should hear these recordings, now.

Please listen to my other versions of “Music” which i did all in a row. There is a another Rock version covering the original and a house version, both sang by my sister Claudia Cane.

Enjoy!
